A walkman-style PC leads the I.B.M. lineup

October 3rd, 2009

A new range of pc leads from IBM is soon hitting the market with a bang namely: the visionpad, the cyberphone, the chameleon, and a watch that doubles up as a personal organizer. Sporting a 233 Mhz chip in CPU case that just fits in your hand the Visionpad can simply be worn on the belt. It is then attached to an earphone/eyepiece/microphone headset. With the eyepiece in place the wearer would as well be viewing a miniature 27 inch screen standing 6 feet away.

This gadget has a voice recognition feature, a finger pad on the CPU or even a keyboard attached to the CPU through which it can be operated. The cyberphone is a versatile gizmo with a revolving screen which a user can use to the surf the net even as he or she goes on conversing using the thumb to control a pointing toggle. As for the chameleon it is a convenient thingamabob straddling a desktop and a lap top both in weight and cost and can conveniently be used at home of the office.
